That IS a demo, fucker! It just looks all pretty so people think it's a full length.

Thanks for the mention though...

My votes go to Vital Remains and Fates Warning, maybe Wargasm...

Actually I'm an idiot for forgetting Rocks. Or the S/T, Get Your Wings, or Toys in the Attic for that matter. They're all great, but I think Rocks was the pinnacle.

And about your own band being your favorite, I agree. I was going to list the Cryptic Warning CD but I felt like a toolbag doing so. I love that CD though.

This is an awesome thread.

1) Non Compos (Mentis) - "Smile When You Hate"
2) Converge - "When Forever Comes Crashing" (Blue, I was gonna say "petitioning..." too, but that album was recorded at different times and at different studios, so lacks that full album feel I guess. Basically every Converge record should be here.)
3) Backstabbers Inc. - "Kamikaze Missions"
4) Overcast - "Fight Ambition to Kill"
5) Cave In - "Until Your Heart Stops"

I'm really not trying to rob your steez blue, you just have good taste. This is way too hard though.

And I can't believe xmikex put Fault's "Sensory Deprivation." That is fucking awesome, I didn't think anybody evern heard that record...I made most of that up when I was 17 or 18 yrs old and so angry in high school. It never got mastered and I hate how it sounds, but it's not bad stuff.

sit down junior and lemme tell you a story. I saw Reach the Sky for the first time at Karma Club with Blood for Blood, and Death Threat (I don't remember what year it was but it was about 6 months before Peace & Security came out). I got the absolute hell beaten out of me... not just the usual beating anyone would take at karma club, someone a lot bigger than me singled me out and hit me about 20 times for no real reason until my nose broke and I collapsed. If it wasn't for Ian Larabee I'd probably still be laying there. He basically peeled me off the floor and helped me get out of the way. A lot of other dudes that talk about the same things RTS said they were about wouldn't have done it. I went to school the next day with a black eye, but Reach the Sky was one of my new favorite bands, and Ian Larabee would stand as one of my original hardcore heroes.
