with all of these appreciation threads, i felt it necessary to discuss one of my personal favorites, Godflesh. Justin Broadrick is the most underrated musician of all time. he has done countless projects, but Godflesh is by far the greatest. from 1988 until 2001 he released album after album of sheer brilliance. the sound mutated from album to album, sometimes slow melodic guitar work, sometimes pounding sludge industrial. my personal favorite album would have to be either Streetcleaner or Pure. they are the ultimate stoner band.

I saw them at Club Babyhead for the Streetcleaner tour. It was awesome.

I saw them at the Channel, I think it was the Grindcrusher tour..Long ass time ago, It was 2 guys and a malfunctioning drum computer..It bored the crap outta me

Jesu is also amazing. yeah i never got to see them live, they broke up just before playing at the Middle East in 01. i was pretty pissed.

haha that is weird, i was listening to Slavestate on Tuesday. "Meltdown" is so good. i also love the 12 minute remix of "Perfect Skin".
