and i didn't put this in the subject line, but if Porphyria doesn't want to do it, I'd like Hand Choke Neck. I have heard way less of Porphyria and I really want to see them live, but I also want to see HCN live, though I am alternatively working on another HCN show.

man 90% of the times i have gone to RI there was something awful. I don't think it has much to do with the venues as it has to do with providence in general.

When I went to see Phobia at the Met Cafe, a friend of mine went to make a phone call and was gone for over an hour. When he came back, we asked where he was. He had watched a guy get stabbed and waited with him till the Ambulance came.

That said, you're gonna find a million horror stories about a million places, but as far as how the Safari is run, they just give you the space and you play, and that's all I want right now...No money involved, barely check IDs, and decent location not too far from the public transit. Plus it's easy to get a show there.

Last time we played there, our drummer's car stereo got stolen. But is it really "stolen" when you forget to lock your doors. Also, it's a cool punk rock dive. I love playing there. I also love fate laughing mockingly at my drummer.
