A member of a "punk" band from the Boston music scene sexually assaulted me two years ago. Police gave me bullshit about it. And the punk scene just ignored it. I lost friends over it. People kept booking a band whose singer makes gay jokes on stage and rapes women off stage.
I'm not saying metal is perfect, but I know that shit wouldn't fly in the metal scene like it did in Boston's "punk rock" scene, and I'm glad for it. I love you guys.
