nothing here about roadrunner...

Abacus Recordings is proud to announce a U.S. signing deal with Caliban!

The kings of German metalcore return even more dedicated and bloodthirsty
than ever with their fourth full-length album The Opposite From Within, set
to be released on October 5th in the U.S. on Abacus Recordings.

Produced by In Flames front man Anders Friden and mixed and mastered by Andy
Sneap (e.g. Machine Head, Killswitch Engage, Arch Enemy) at the Backstage
Studio in the UK, the new album takes the band’s formula of Slayer-esque,
precise metal guitars with emotional hardcore to a whole new level of
maturity. Double-bass mosh parts, enormous walls of guitar and the band’s
keen sense of melody are played with utter conviction throughout the 12-song
outing.

Caliban will be tearing up the stage at this year’s HELLFEST and fans can
currently see the band on tour throughout America:

Caliban signs w/ Roadrunner Records

German metal/hardcore band Caliban has now signed a worldwide deal with Roadrunner Records. The group has previously released material with Prosthetic Records and Lifeforce Records, and recorded a new album with Anders Friden (of In Flames) early this year. Look for their Roadrunner debut to hit stores on September 20, and on October 5th in the U.S. via a licensing deal with Abacus Recordings.

Caliban's last album was pretty lame and that means this next one is going to be worse.
