i suggest samuel smiths oatmeat stout and the imperial stout. pretty much anything SS dose is great.

Boulevard Dark Truth Stout and Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale are excellent beers.

Kate the Great by Portsmouth Brewery is a world class stout. Not sure if they're going to make it this year, though, since the head brewer left and he had the rights to the recipe.

I had Founders Breakfast Stout yesterday and it was delicious.

I have a bottle from 2009 or 2010 that I've been aging in a small wine fridge in hopes of getting a 2013 bottle, so I can compare the two. Unfortunately, since the old head brewer left with rights to the recipe, I'm not sure if they'll be having Kate the Great Day this year. If they don't have it then I may cave and just crack open the bottle in late March or something.

I miss when all Rev drank were fruity drinks with umbrellas in them.

Leftys makes a breakfast stout. Chocolate coffee oat and then dry hopped with organic local bacon. Mm mm bitch.

Fruit beers are usually the worst.

maybe true 10 years ago, but they're not marketed for bitches the are into wine coolers anymore. a lot of them will sit you on your ass, and taste good doing it. Dogfish head comes to mind.

the general rule is that if you can buy a fruit beer in a 12 pack it will be the worst.

I got a couple dogfish. A 20oz 10% gives me a decent buzz and sipping is good for a night.

I've had a good beer made with pear, but I don't remember what it was.

That creme brulee is really tasty, Southern Tier nails it 80% of the time.

I'm hit or miss with Southern Tier. The Creme Brulee Stout sounds kind of interesting, but things like their Choklat Stout are just way too chocolatey for me. I know it's pretty highly praised, but I just can't get into it for some reason.

if you think that the xocolat is too chocolatey, then your opinion of the creme brulee is probably going to be the same. I drank the chokolat in the shower and when I spat, my phlegm was chocolatey.

Left hand nitro milk stout is excellent.
