whachu getting for an amp, dogg |
well...i need a practice amp with atleast 3 channels, and effects loop..that is also powerful enough to jam with a drummer.
I was lookin at the line 6 spider iv 150watt. I know your a bit of a gear nerd, so what would you recomend? |
I think Blue will agree, but DON'T get anything out of the Line 6 Spider series -- it's their shitty low-end line.
If you really want solidstate, then the Line 6 Flextone II is a good choice, though I would go with a tube amp. |
im basically looking for a versatile practice amp. I want it to sound good obviously, but this is more for song writing and home shit. when i get into a band again, ill worry about getting something much nicer..most likely tube. |
I hear you, but unless they've made massive improvements to the Spider series, you won't be happy with it. |
Those flextones do look nice tho, didn't you used to have the flextone stack back when. |
I still have it -- I use the cabs to jam with the other old people I jam with, but I power 'em with Peavey XXX head now. I still have the Flextone II head for a practice amp, but for playing loud, the tube is where it's at.
See if you can find a Flextone II combo used -- I've seen them around. |
shawn you butt dart, I emailed you my phone, facken call me dood |
Pretty nifty looking weapon dude, what's the purpose of the crevase at the bottom of the neck? Or is it semi-hollow? |
its just where the neck joint is, is different color...does kinda look hollow i guess. |
i know...its still in my inbox. i got some time off here pretty soon, ill come visit your ass |
I just started playing my SR506 again tonight, noticed that it looks just like yours except for the part of the neck that's a different color, or shaped differently. I wonder if that's what the newer models look like.
example of mine, which looks like excess wood that was shaved off on your version:

come on fools!! im buying my new fiddle tomorrow...and i need cash!!!!
Ill take $400...but you'll have to drive your sorry ass to lincoln to pick it up. |

Interested in a rack amp setup for the bass?
1-Carvin TS-100
1-Rocktron Chameleon
1-6 space rack case
It is plenty loud too, you wont have any issues playing with a drummer or a full band for that matter.
If you are interested in that send me an email: nickscarfo83@gmail.com |
I have a tube if you're interested in it. It's free. |
^^ Buy it and join my band! |
