Mayhem with Keep Of Kalessin, Hate, Abigail Williams and Woe on Sunday November 6. Man, I can't wait to see the die hard crowd this all ages show will bring, especially on a weekend! let's hope at least some of Swashbuckle's fans can't make it due to excessive homework due on Monday.

On a more serious note, only Andrew being ejected from MDF VII for yanking down Mayhem's banner due to a terrible set is worth talking about.

If this is true - cool show bro.

this show needs to happen 15-20 years ago for it to be good.

toggletoggle post by Slag at Jun 9,2011 5:48pm
Err, no. Newest Mayhem album = my favorite. Other bands - no really care.

Saw them 10 years ago at the Palladium upstairs. I think I can check them off the list of bands I needed to see but never see again.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 9,2011 6:17pm
was that the show that they were late and the singer had a broken arm?

I believe so. I know there's pictures on here from that show. Grand Declaration of War tour.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Jun 9,2011 6:34pm
Couldn't give a Christing fuck about the other bands. Get there late and/or booze my nards off and only catch Mayhem. Git r dun.

toggletoggle post by Randy_Marsh at Jun 9,2011 6:57pm
out of all the bands that could have been on this tour opening for Mayhem, they chose Woe, Hate and Abigail Williams?

toggletoggle post by Pires at Jun 9,2011 7:05pm
This show will be cancelled in august. If not, I'd like to think I'd be there only for mayhem.

toggletoggle post by josh_hates_you  at Jun 9,2011 7:42pm
how much you wanna bet they book 5 terrible bands from the new england nu metal union to open upstairs and sell tickets?

toggletoggle post by AndrewBastard  at Jun 9,2011 7:47pm
the best part was when i got kicked out, walked around to the parking lot and rolled back in under the fence and made my way right back up front to watch the rest of the set...then found Ryan the next day and got a new bracelet for the rest of the weekend

Armsby Abbey pre game, maybe hit up the swanky cigar bar around the corner and then show.

I was just there for b's game. Great selection of cigars and beers and an outdoor patio with a big screen.

don't waste your time, it's horrible. the drum tone is only second to St. Anger, the riffs are hopelessly contrived, and the production is shit.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jun 10,2011 8:06am
No thanks. Officially trend fest.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 10,2011 8:18am
seriously. the last time i saw Mayhem was with Exhumed and Skinless.

If you like "crisp" production, this album is certainly not for you.

Drum tone is one of the woodiest, most natural I've heard. Production is one of my favorites in metal history. Evil. Dark. Abysmal. Ambient.

I'd even go as far as saying that it is one of the most original sounding records in the last 5 years. Song writing is chaotic of the album. It adds to the experience.

Guess we are at odds.

We seem to be at odds.

ITT: Mayhem cancels their tour

toggletoggle post by Mark R at Jun 10,2011 9:31am
What was bad about their MDF set? Song choices, poor performance, other stuff?

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 10,2011 10:39am
me like crisp production? that's unpossible. the dirtier and filthier the better. i just thought this album delivered absolutely nothing, and was a horrid attempt at trying to "regain" what was lost ages ago.

toggletoggle post by arkquimanthorn at Jun 10,2011 12:13pm
yeti come over and smoke drugs and we'll listen to the vinyl.
