New site? Maybe some day.

- Brave New World. Surprised I haven't gotten around to it earlier, as Orwellian Dystopian science fiction happens to be a favorite of mine.
Just finished In the Shadows of the White Mountains a collection of odd tales about Northern NH, witches, civil war battles in the sky, cursed waters, and hermits.
Soon to be moving onto to some James Fennimore Cooper, not sure what as I picked up five of his novels for 10 bucks at the used books store. He wrote Last of the Mohicans for those who are unfamiliar with the name.
What you all reading? |
|
I should actually check out that second book!
Right now I've just finished another re-read of American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Next up is "Aghora - at the left hand of god", a neat little Hindu-related novel that's been sitting in my room for some time, and probably a shitload of Jules Verne at the same time, as usual.
That, plus entertaining myself with the great many books that try to explain existentialism using only tiny out-of-context passages. |

Brave New World > 1984
I'm currently reading like 4 or 5 books, but haven't read a page in probably 6 months. |

The Black Company by glen cook then brave new world after that |

Just finishing Moby Dick.
Enjoyed it but my next choice will keep me off of the Craigslist Missed Connections / Metro articles.

|
The Historian, really good, it creeps up on you. Almost done with it and I got Callahan's Crosstime Saloon on deck. |

I'm currently reading Return to the Pit, thanks for asking. |
|
Boxing's hall of shame: the fight games darkest days |

Just finished "Patient Zero". Zombie content. Nothing groundbreaking, but an enjoyable read nonetheless. I think there's talk about making it into a film. |

Aaand, studying this
for Advanced Game Programming, and
this
for the sweet-ass dwarves-only AD&D game that we're currently kicking all kinds of ass in (and therefore have armies that need Battlesystem-ing).
