good band, but what is that about?

toggletoggle post by davyp at Apr 30,2004 8:40am
When i read your post all i could do is think of Jerry Sinfield... What is the deal with--- KILLSWITCH ENGAGE---- headlining the metal fest?

People dont know how to put bands in a line up, look where Soilent Green is and all the other good bands are.... not headlining

I'm just confused by that... I mean kse's new cd is pretty decent...
but why would they be a headlining act?

toggletoggle post by davyp at Apr 30,2004 9:19am
my points exactly

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Apr 30,2004 9:21am
it's a more "mainstream" show this year

toggletoggle post by davyp at Apr 30,2004 9:26am
it kind of defeats the purpose, (mainstream) i mean.... people should go to ozzfest if they want to see mainstream...

toggletoggle post by theundergroundscene   at Apr 30,2004 10:59am
Who do you think should headline? Killswitch is local and will hold the crowd's attention the best out of everyone playing today...

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 30,2004 11:38am
not them... no offence, but what's it going to be next year? unearth?
headlining mainstage I think of metal/hardcore mega stars..
cradle of filth, cannibal corpse, sfu, etc...
not a "local heros" band...
I mean dimmu borgir didn't headline neither did overcast's reunion...

But looking at this lineup, who is going to headline? Arch Enemy? Superjoint Ritual headlined one of the days last year and they aren't exactly big...

The fact is, Killswitch Engage isn't the same Killswitch Engage they were two, three years ago. They are a legit headlining act (co-headlining with In Flames now). They are in a freaking Pop Tarts commercial for crying out loud.

I know what you are saying. It feels weird. But I guess we'll just have to see how it goes...

I'm pretty sure being MA locals has something to do with that.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!

Arch Enemy could hold everyones attention just fine I think. I saw them before I ever heard them on cd and they bored the hell out of everyone but the 20 kids in front who were singing along. Arch Enemy probably has more fans and would be more appropriate.

arch enemy is gay now.

toggletoggle post by swamplorddvm  at Apr 30,2004 3:14pm
How so spoo?

toggletoggle post by TheGreatSpaldino   at Apr 30,2004 3:20pm
