people still use this?

toggletoggle post by IllinoisEnemaBradness at Apr 24,2010 3:20pm
at school we fix other students computers for free. EVERY single girl that brings a PC in has Limewire on it, as well as MySpace chat. Most haven't been updated or had a virus scan done in years. Stupid girls are stupid

I'm still using WebCrawler, is this altavista thing cooler than that new show on NBC, The Single Guy?

Me too.

Limewire is file sharing for ninnies.

DC++ and BitTorrent are file sharing for data rapists.

Limewire is child's play. just use blogspots and/or bittorrent.

toggletoggle post by BobNOMAAMRooney at Apr 25,2010 10:51am edited Apr 25,2010 10:51am
This site is a far better source for music downloads than limewire.

this.

though I hate bittorrents. They annoy me

toggletoggle post by BlackoutRick at Apr 25,2010 11:11am
Thanks assholes. I use torrent sites and they suck. They only have new stuff. I tried getting Pink Floyd's Animals and it won't work. Sorry I'm a "Noob" or a "Ninnie." Fuckin dorks.

toggletoggle post by BlackoutRick at Apr 25,2010 11:12am

Limewire will rape your machine with viruses and spyware

toggletoggle post by Lamp  at Apr 25,2010 11:26am
At the very least use Soulseek for this shit, way better than Limewire.

toggletoggle post by BlackoutRick at Apr 25,2010 11:26am
So what is a good program to catch up on my back catalog?

toggletoggle post by RustyPS  at Apr 25,2010 11:28am
http://blogsearch.google.com

type: "Band Name" "Album Name" download

you'll be surprised at what you can find

toggletoggle post by BlackoutRick at Apr 25,2010 11:39am
Thanks

toggletoggle post by MillenialKingdom  at Apr 25,2010 11:49am

I haven't really been much for downloading music the last two and a half years, I found some shit on here I never could have dreamed of. Good call!

I've been doing this for the past three of four years. The only time I'll use torrents is when I want an entire television series or pornography.

I don't care about the quality of the program, I've ALWAYS found what I was looking for and some of the users are cool about letting you rape their files.

not that limewire was EVER a good idea, but i still had to double-check the date on this thread.

linear flow chart for finding an album
google the album name ->
google the "album name + blog" ->
search for the album on a blog searching site (filestube.com or something) ->
torrent it as a last resort ->
buy it

toggletoggle post by ARKTOUROS at Apr 26,2010 2:41pm
also, googling "album name + torrent" will find a torrent. using singular torrent site searches will usually find nothing.

and like bradness said, 99% of student's infected laptops have limewire installed

toggletoggle post by menstrual_sweatpants_disco   at Apr 26,2010 2:43pm
Not too long ago I heard that Limwire was still a good source for audio books. I wonder if this ever was/is still true.

toggletoggle post by ARKTOUROS at Apr 26,2010 2:44pm
if you know the filetype and how large the file is you're looking for, and know WHAT do download and what not to, P2P programs aren't bad.

but if you have to ask "Is Limewire Pro worth it" then you shouldn't use a P2P program.

toggletoggle post by BlackoutRick at Apr 27,2010 9:47pm
Whatever. I've always bought my music. Through the years these cds get borrowed or lost or scratched from over use. I'm deleting limewire right now.

toggletoggle post by dertoxia   at Apr 27,2010 10:03pm
Limewire is riddled with fake virus infected files. Most so called "Pro" versions of limewire are either viruses themselves, or scams to get your credit card number. I work at staples, and just like has been said 99% of infected computers that come in have limewire on em. You can use limewire safely if you're reallllllllllllly careful about what files you download and don't download them to your C: drive. The problem is most people aren't careful.

bump for outdated technology lulz

toggletoggle post by BobNOMAAMRooney nli at Apr 7,2011 8:22am
I'm flying into this thread via autogyro. I wonder if I can use limewire to download the latest news from the frontlines of the Crimean War.

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Apr 7,2011 9:17am
^ lulz.

I thought Limewire folded anyways.
