Defeater Posts Another Track Off Debut EP- Record Release Shows To Celebrate Lost Ground



Defeater is gearing up for the release of the Lost Ground EP next Tuesday, November 17th. Another new track, "the red, white and blues", has been posted online and is currently streaming at http://MySpace.com/Defeater . The Lost Ground EP is a six song double 7" that was written in a similar narrative style to Defeater's debut album, Travels. Lost Ground follows a man's journey from enlisting in the military to post-war life (the same man that we were introduced to on track 6 of Travels: “Prophet in Plain Clothes”).

While Travels was called “a new artistic peak for hardcore” by Punknews and “the perfect definition of modern hardcore” by Lambgoat), Lost Ground is sure to surpass the critical acclaim Defeater has received thus far. Alternative Press has already said of Lost Ground: "This EP is grand in scope, both for its poetic lyrics and the thoughtful song structures and musicianship, as songs crescendo seamlessly to chaotic climaxes or go from blistering hardcore to serene passages, all the while maintaining a beautiful intensity."
