Cripple Bastards-Desperately Insensitive
Defcon 4-File Under Fuck

awesome, awesome split. i want to get my hands on more of ANb's splits but i don't have a 7 record player (commence flaming)

CB's Desperately Insensitive is awesome as well. Much cleaner sound compared to their earlier work but still face-meltingly crustgrind as fuck

Just ordered the new EA album. Excited to hear this, their last one was fantastic.

Definitely an awesome split, but goddammit I want more of it! I don't have a record player either, but I have most of their shit on my computer or on the Bestial Machinery 2 disc set.

I definitely like the sound on Desperately Insensitive a LOT more than the old shit; awesome band, but some of the old stuff is almost unlistenable due to production.

toggletoggle post by reimroc at Mar 23,2009 4:38pm edited Mar 23,2009 4:39pm
Yea but thats kind of the charm of the older material. Straight throwback to their obvious crust-punk influences.

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at Mar 23,2009 5:06pm
Yeah, I hear ya...but some of the oooold stuff is just horrific in quality and all you can hear is random drum hits and loud but powerless vocals. Maybe it's just the demo shit that I'm thinking of though.

yea you're def thinking of the demos. although their first couple "full-lengths" have a similar gritty production sound it sounds alot better.

Upon revisiting my CB collection, it is the demos I'm thinking of. I like the grit on most of the other old stuff a lot better though, since it's executed well enough to sound suitable for the style.
