|
Show was really, really fun. Haxen was the best black metal band I have seen come from Prov. They were so filthy and tight and the demo Chris gave me is fucking great. Dead Times were kind of a letdown. I don't know if it was technical difficulties or whatever but it didn't come together at all. First band/dude whoever it was wasn't very good.
Its always awesome hanging with Neil. Krieg got a really good band to play the material and it was so tight, filthy, and violent.
Now I'm glad my girlfriend dragged me there on our 9 year anniversary. |
|
Oh, also awesome to see all the ex-Nefarious guys and their new band Bog of the Infidel is fantastic. Thanx for the demo. |

This was a great show. Due to work I missed Bog of the Infidel, which is unfortunate because I had wanted to see them.
The space was really cool. It was very frustrating to get to. I never knew about it before, and I even lived for a while in central falls, but Main street is confusing. It breaks up into pieces and One easily gets sucked into those annoying one way streets. I kinda wish someone mentioned the cross streets in the post to make it easier. The place was awesome and they even had $2 tall cans of Gansett.
Haxen were good. I felt this made up for my missing of their AS220 show. (I have the Haxen film, so I can only imagine seeing it displayed between bands at the AS220...) I loved the spoken work intro and how they were silently gearing themselves up for the set. I love when Black Metal bands go all out in their appearance too. I thought they sounded great, so I nabbed their shirt and demos after the set for a total of $7. I hope more people took advantage of that.
I still can't believe Krieg were playing in The Bucket, but I'm not knocking it. I never thought I would ever see them live. Even when they were together before the split-up/on-hold thing. I thought they were awesome. I loved every minute. They definitely sound 10 times better live than on their recordings. I especially got into the drumming. He's good - maybe not the greatest drummer ever, but I really enjoyed it. Imperial was into to it which was clear to me - I was squatting down less then 2 feet from him. Pretty amusing when he was hunched over, screaming in my face. (By the way, squatting down within 4 feet in front of the bass drums makes them sound even more godly.)
I nabbed the new 7" they had, but it slipped my mind to get the DVD. I am so kicking myself about that now.
Yeah, I had a great time. I hope there are more shows at this spot.

all that black metal is gay. it's not true black metal. True black metal is Sarcofago and only in south america. All that norseCore shit is so gay now. nobody from new england can play black metal properly just give up. |

|
Sounded like an awesome show. I wish I could have
Gone. How many people were there? |
|
I was wondering that as well. I'm not sure. 50? not counting bands?
