If anything could ever persuade me to get a bluray player it'd be Band of Brothers.

They're getting cheaper. I don't even have one yet. I'm just borrowing mah girly's PS3. What I DO need, though is surround sound speakers.

Bluray is capable of 7.1 surround, but do any movies even offer this or is everything still in 5.1? I have to research this shit. Band of Brothers must watched in surround sound with a nice subwoofer.

haha. Yes indeed. The Wire and Band of Brothers are probably the 2 greatest things to ever happen to television. Although Band of Brothers is far superior to The Wire. The Wire didn't inspire me to read 2 books and buy $125 in DVD box sets.

haha...see...I bought all 5 seasons of The Wire and actually have read 1 book and pick up The Corner mini-series.

Murph has the Band of Brother's DVDs at our practice space, so I didn't have to invest.
