Peter Murphy did guest vocals. Didn't know who he was till 10 minutes ago.

Did they play the song where they try to sound dark and angry at the world?

Just kidding, I know they did.

Were there fat girls wearing black?

I'm sure it was awesome.
I've seen them at least 5 times.
great shows.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Nov 10,2008 1:54am
Bummed I missed them with Ladytron. Ladytron gets me hot.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 10,2008 1:57am
I was at the mentors show and then it broke into a gay goth night. ladytron was the 3rd song they played.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Nov 10,2008 2:36am

I'm not really a NIN fan, but they did put on a great show. Excellent performance and creative visual effects. Peter Murphy was the high point of the show for me, though his vocals really weren't cutting through too well at the end of that song. I wish they did a Bauhaus cover.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 10,2008 9:55am
@goat: I'm white. White brothers can't dance.

Nice, love Peter Murphy/Bauhaus. I saw the Bauhaus Reunion tour in 98 i think. I saw NIN at the DCU center (wasn't called that then) with A perfect Circle right after the Fragile came out. It was awesome. I saw NIN live in 94 with Prick and Bowie Too. I like NIN live, good show.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 10,2008 10:12am
I was at that DCU show in 2002? perfect circle sucked. the giant screens weere awesome.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 10,2008 10:16am
I also saw them in 94 and in 95. I think the bowie tour was in late 95, early 96. I didn't go cause they played great woods.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Nov 10,2008 10:19am
was it 2002..... maybe 2001? I dunno, can't remember. I actually really liked Perfect Circle at that show. I was really into Mer de Noms at that point, and they played all of it close to perfect, just a little slower on everything. Which with their music i thought was perfect. (haha, lil' pun) but i understand how people would have not liked em if they weren't into the album already. Which i think may not have been out at that point, i think i got a leaked copy. (which i am sure you had anyways). Yeah, the screens were the shit.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 10,2008 10:19am
I think it was june 2002. and perfect circle was terrible.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 10,2008 10:22am
er.. 2000

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Nov 10,2008 11:28am
POtaTO/poTAto... ya know? It was definitely the summer time, i know that. Shoe was good either way, if i am correctly informed, that was John (darkwar)'s first show ever... i think. Which made him like 15. Or something. (i think he's 23/24) I am 27, so I was 19 for it.

May 2nd, 2000, I was 14, I was a giddy-as-fuck NIN fanboy (still am), it was my first 'real' show and it was a very magical night. I was in the Superbox, and there were free chicken wings.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Nov 10,2008 11:39am
nice. Free chicken wings will make just about any even a good one.

toggletoggle post by darkwor at Nov 10,2008 11:41am
And it was the first time I heard APC, back when they had that chick playing bass and violin. I was blown away by them and immediately bought Mer De Noms, amazing album to this day. And yeah the 3 big screens were badass, The Fragile is my top NIN album and they played a lot of songs from that. Imagine seeing a full-blown balls out NIN concert for your first show, it was a pretty fucking intense time

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Nov 10,2008 11:43am
yeah, i think i saw a nose get broken during wish..

I was at the show too. This time the screens were crazy and interactive.

That album is way under appreciated. I love it.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 11,2008 10:43pm
the fragile is a musical masterpiece, but the vocals are some of the worst nin vocals ever.
