I signed the petition "Stop The "Cat Cutters": ask China for animal protection laws". I'm asking you to sign this petition to help us reach our goal of 15,000 signatures. I care deeply about this cause, and I hope you will support our efforts.
its a good cause, but a lost one. do people really believe that if the US has a petition to stop something in China, that China is really going to give a shit? its their culture. does that make it right or wrong? who is to say? worry about your own country.
i'm not trying to incite an argument here, i just think that this kind of thing is a waste of time. they don't even give a shit about HUMAN rights never mind cat rights. just because there are a handful of concerned people living across the globe in an entirely different country who have zero idea of what its really like to live in a country like that doesn't mean they will bend. what if they found eating carrots to be barbaric and started a petition to end carrot consumption? would we change? absolutely not.
