Cannibal Corpse – First Studio Update now up!
Hey everybody, Alex from Cannibal here checking in from Mana Studios in St. Petersburg Florida. Paul has finished all the drums tracks for our new album, and we think he did an amazing job. Things really went smoothly with the drum tracking this time, and that gave us a little extra time for Paul to get creative with some of the drum parts. Everything is still fast and brutal as you'd expect, but there are a few different rhythmic ideas happening that we think our fans will appreciate.

The next step for us will be to start working on a guitar sound, and then begin guitar tracking. The sound of the rhythm guitar is one of the most important things on a metal album, so we will take our time and make sure that we get the heaviest sound possible. The recording of the rhythm guitars will be something we'll take our time with as well. Rob, Pat and producer Erik Rutan are truly perfectionists when it comes to guitar tracking, they'll settle for nothing less than a flawless performance. That kind of dedication can make for a challenging recording session, but when the end result is a crushingly heavy album it's more than worth the time and effort.

OK, that's all for now. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks, we'll have lots of cool info for you such as the new album's title, song titles, studio photos, and more.

please be better than Kill.

Kill was ok....
Wretched Spawn was way better

Ha Ha Ha.

I liked KILL.

Kill was awesome. Actually, the past 2 albums are great. I have high hopes for this.

Wretched Spawn was one of Corpse's best albums.

"They deserved to DIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

KILL and The Wretched Spawn were both great records. Gore Obsessed had its moments but wasn't quite as good. This band does not disappoint me, ever. Every time a new album comes out people are like "DUUUHH ITS SOUND LIKE OLD CANIBAL COPRSE THEY NO PRGESSS ALOT DAS BAAAD" Well, what the fuck did you expect? Why would you want them to change? If you want to listen to music that's not old school brutal DM, then don't fucking listen to Cannibal Corpse dumbass.

actually, i disagree, i wish they sounded more like they used to.
Butchered at Birth and Tomb of the Mutilated are my 2 favorites

Well, yeah but that was over 15 years ago.. I'm talking I guess about the style they've had since Corpsegrinder joined.

toggletoggle post by orgymf@work at Sep 23,2008 12:15pm
yeah....even then, i think they've had some pretty unmemorable material since bloodthirst.

i like vile, gallery and wretched.
other than that, i could give a fuck about most corpsegrinder era cannibal corpse.

Well, that's just, like, your opinon man.

Personally there is no CC album I do not love.
And you don't like Bloodthirst? Really? Gotta be my favorite Corpsegrinder-era record easily.

dead human collection is very catchy
i like blowtorch slaughter and unleashing the bloodthirsty

other than that, nah, i think bloodthirst is very forgetable

gallery of suicide rules!
dismembered and molested and centuries of torment 2 of my 3 c.c. w/ fisher favs (the other being orgasm through torture)

Cannibal Corpse never struck me as "Fast" or overly "Brutal"

yeah, they're definitely heavy, but most of it's mid-paced.

oh well, to each his own, when people say "fast and brutal" I think Origin and Psycroptic

I kinda tuned out after Vile. The Bleeding is my most favoritest followed by Butchered... First CC song I ever heard was Meathook Sodomy and it's same to say I'd never heard anything so thoroughly disgusting.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Sep 23,2008 12:48pm
i still don't really care for The Bleeding. i don't know why, i just don't. but Butchered is one of the best things ever recorded.

you do know that if they had a faster and better drummer... they would be a very fast band, right? their riffs on the newest shit are all pretty fast... if there were blasts on it like in the new hate eternal or something, it would be crushingly fast.
