Trap them and Furnace played Albany tonight, Albany sucks, 15-20 kids, sound guy had a huge turd caught in his ass, cut trap them's set to just over 20 minutes (they weren't headlining, but still)

really good show
hyeo's new drummer brings a completely different set of positives to the table. Everything was spot on until the string break.
Outrage were fun, but the guitarist probably should have borrowed someone's cord. Dude...you're at a show. There are other bands. You don't have to play through a 5 foot cable...haha. But they're a fun band, tons of energy.
Wasteland was the surprise band for me. Didn't know much about them going in and they killed it.
I think the Furnace dudes got bummed because of equipment trouble, because I've seen them have better sets before. The CD is great and I'm excited for the split with Capsule. That band is ridiculous.
Trap Them were pretty great. Justain sort of brings them back to sounding as good live as they do on record.
I think Brian Izzi is running a Metal Zone through his old Ampeg and old Marshall. That would be such a gear nerd faux pas, but I think I saw it. |

2 days late.
Fun show despite the turnout.
Nice to finally see HYEO. Great drummer. I give them respect for still playing with minus members. So what, he broke a string. Shit sounded good. It took me till the end of the night to realize how I knew you guys. TOS. Yup. It's been years.
I didn't really care for Outrage. Yeah, the cord could have been longer unless if you just like standing at your amp while playing.The bassist losing control of his bass was the highlight of their set. Slam that fucker around if the strap falls off!
Wasteland was decent. Glad I got to see them.
Furnace was fuckin great. These guys play very well together. They were my fave of the night. I wish there were drummers like that around my neck of the woods. damm.
No Saint Jude:( but Brendan made it down.
Trap Them were tight as hell. I guess people got tired by this point. After every song was a soft clap then silence. Oh well, I dug it.
Yes Cav, you do suck for not going. Good to see Brian DC, Brendan, Nick of Acariya, and a bunch of other people I don't see as often as I would like. |
