I'm still thinking of whether to give people 2 free hot dogs (metal weiners) or 2 free slices of pizza. I have a poll on www.metalshowcase.us - so lemme know what you peeps want.
also im' up for ideas.. does rttp or anyone else want to help sponsor? set up tables?

We are giving out tshirts to a handful of people who show up 1st. I'm thinking of some scheme to give out free cds also (oak knoll releases for now). I have some major labels sending me posters, samplers, etc to give out.

I'll help duplicate and put out any band demos, hand outs..

the only other idea/dream i had was to have someone like Rich Horror do some sets in between sets. He would make an amazing MC and IWEIPH did them most amazing cover of "Take of Me" I've ever seen.. Which I'd love to see at the show (someday). We just have to see if we have another PA for that.

How about the introduction of some metal showcase showgirls? I think we are entertaining that idea. PG13 of course, but you know how the lovely metal girls love to show up to these things.

We are trying to get people to actually go to the bandstand. Its a pretty cool place. And we need for this show to go well if we want to have more metal shows there. I am working on a cool headliner as I type this!

I think it still does draw like shit, which is why Jeremy is trying to do these shows and build up the venue.

I'm open to ideas and I'm trying out some of them (free food, etc). Heck I wish they had booze and I could get you all hookers I think it's going to take some perserverence but I'm going to give it a try. Heck worst case scenario, we can't have another show and i get to keep all the pizza. I'm going to make sure the bands that are coming will get their share of the door (or the deals I work with them) even if it's coming out of my own pocket. Now its up to the fans to help me/us out.

What would it take to get people to come to this show? I have a killer line up, food, freebies.. maybe hot chicks.. want some O'Douls? heh
there is as nice shady bar across the street people can easily walk to, but I don't think you can get back in (esp if yer drunk).

Nice, I live about 5 minutes from this place. Looks like it could be a great venue for metal, they just never really did anything good with this place before hand.
