So I know there's been RTTP fantasy football leagues in the past, but does anyone have plans to start one this year?

I think I'll probably start the league through ESPN.com they look like they've got a good thing going here.

When I get an idea of how many teams we're gonna have I'll start the league. I think the minimum is 10.

i haven't looked yet, but they probably have a "do not draft" option that you can flag on certain players (my yahoo league does, not sure if espn does.)
if your not around for the live draft, then that would be very useful to keep from getting players you definitely do not want, like Vick or Mike Espy.

ok, so i didn't find any "do not draft" option. just bump any guy you don't want down to like 500 on the list. vick's in the 300's so you probably have nothing to worry about as far as QB's facing federal charges...

does the espn site run kinda slow for anybody else? if so, we may want to take that into consideration on draft day. we get what, 2 minutes to make a selection?

I'm still wrestling with the playoff settings. I want to have the whole thing done before week 17 (I dont' want the championship week to be decided on the last week of the season when a lot of the starters might be seeing limited playing time).

I'm thinking either 4, 5, or 6 teams for the playoffs.

week 16 for the championships, 4 team playoff, so 14 weeks of regular play.

Everyone make sure to do the draft test on the computer you'll be drafting on. It'll make sure that your java is configured correctly.

why are there bye weeks? is there a way to remove that in the settings?
also, if you click on the league schedule, Team Daby has a bye week every week. that's not good...

and every team has week 14 as a bye...

Yeah he sent me an email. That's weird, but I'd imagine it's just a preseason glitch. I'll send an email to the ESPN people and see what they can do to correct it. My guess is, with the season still a couple weeks away from starting and everyone getting ready to draft/already drafting, there's room for some technical errors. Tell your roomate he's welcome to get in touch with ESPN too, and most likely we'll have this figured out well before opening day.

ya i finally figured out what my problem was... wasnt logging into my espn account in addition to my team account. this is apparently also why i couldnt set my prerankings. all is well now.

... also i must say that was THE most helpful customer service call i have ever made. kudos espn.

im going to offer someone steve smith, the rookie WR for the giants, and hope that they think its the steve smith from the panthers
