I'm enjoying it a lot more than The Odyssey

yeah, I didn't really get motivated to get into the odyssey. I don't think it stood up to V and The Divine Wings of Tragedy. This one seems on par.

Twilight in Olympus is their best work. This is ok, nothing too impressive. Romeo's guitar work is the same, the orchestration is ok, and the vocals are ok. Kinda sounds metalcoreish.

it doesnt sound metalcore-ish in the slightest. this is definitely Symphony X and its definitely progressive. having rhythmic open stringed guitar parts doesnt automatically make it metalcore... it makes it more dynamic and groovy. they have been doing that for a while. its catchy and gets your head banging like crazy.
