since carina's old laptop blew up and she needs to be able to process pictures faster, she ordered a dell 1705. I just unpacked it and I felt like this dude:

whoah.. it comes with google desktop already installed. that's really weird cause vista has an indexing service built in.

this is the first duo core system I've touched. I'm freaking floored.

both cores show up in the task manager with different monitors.
I did some tests and it runs more than 4x faster than my laptop

and even aaron can't tell them apart. that dude's japanese, not korean!

i have a dual core in my box. two p4's running in harmony ala hawkeye and trapper or perhaps turk and jd. the one thing you have to look out for is gaming. some games just don't like the dual core.

now the issue that aaron hasn't fixed is in IE it looks ugly..so i've been using firefox but i would like IE to look normal

yeah, I'm not sure what's up with that... everything looks choppy in it.
