Looking to start a doom metal/death metal/experimental band in the Gardener, Fitchbug area. Hoping to do something that draws from influences such as Vader to Isis to "Colma"-era Buckethead.

Sounds odd but I think the right combination of musicians can make something very interesting and worth giving a listen. Think a very open-minded death metal jam band.

If someone is interested in jamming or tossing ideas around, throw an e-mail over to aloruss1@student.fsc.edu. Thanks

I'm a student at Fitchburg State actually. My band back home is more or less falling apart and not what I really want to be doing anyways.

I want to work with musicians that won't say "I don’t think people will like this" and that just write music they like. I think doing something that incorporates both blast beats and ambient, heavy delayed parts could produce something new, interesting, and fun to play.

I'm a guitarist but converted bassist so I can do both. I also do vocals.

And the spambot just yelled at me because the word "ambient" contains "ambien"

That made me laugh

yeah i've been enjoying the freedom of just playing whatever the fuck comes off the top of my head and so far its workin out pretty well. we played a show and people thought we wrote the material ahead of time when in reality it was all bullshit. we are lacking a bass player though. i've just been pluggin my stack into a regular cab and a bass cab to make up for it ...but unfortunately also lacking a place to practice grrrr.

I wouldn't mind doing bass for it at all.

You got anything record by chance? Or an AIM screenname?

Yeah, his stuff of the Colma album is amazing. "Big Sur Moon" is one of my favs.
