gnome... its pretty decent stuff. its simple when it needs to be and hardcore when it needs to be. i enjoy it.

you can dual boot... but i just wiped my HD and started from scratch.

I'm gradually and methodically getting this thing to where it needs to be. Installing, updates, firewall, SElinux, configuring vsftpd, sshd, httpd, now i'm trying to get this cgi bullshit to work. I've never fucked with it before though. I'm getting 403 errors.

I prefer SUSE or Mandriva (ex-mandrake) for a home workstation

but my servers at my house have always been redhat (starting with RH 7)

my last one was a FC4 server, ran rock solid, until hardware failure

fc5 is fun. im getting the hang of this slowly... but you cant really pick up linux fast if you're on your own.

what sucks about linux is that there isnt shockwave. so i cant go to streetfire.net and check out nasty car videos anymore :(

Are you using linux just for desktop use? I still use Windows for general use & games.

yeah... its my desktop now... im also learning how to code and hack... i dont really play a lot of games on the comp anyway and i cant get infected by spyware if my brother's friends use my comp and to top that off they have no idea HOW to use linux... so... they never will use my comp again

And what do you mean by hack? As in force entry into other folks' computer machines via exploit?

yeah... i locked my computer but these people knew how to get around it and create their own profile. they use IE... how do they know how to get around a locked profile but still use IE?

anyways yeah... hacking. like exploiting people's shit... using major connections at major servers to take down gay websites... shit like that. nothing like stealing identities and robbing them. although i am gonna learn that too... just to be on the safeside and so i know more shit.

And I still use IE. I hate firefox. IE's never given me trouble. I think I prefer it because I'm still in love with version 4.5 of Getright. All the new versions blow.

there were no other accounts.... just mine... and for fun they made a new account, made it an administrative one, and changed my password. kldhlkdhlhg oh well. whatever.
