ghengis tron is awesome. I have yet to see them, I think they toured with behold the arctocpus and or kayodot at some point mabye. probably bta.

i go to school with those guys in NY.... they toured with behold . . . the arctopus over the summer. I've actually listened to all of the new album Dead Mountain Mouth and it slays. A very mature, cohesive mixture of grind and electro. it's gonna make waves once it's released

and they're on a label called Crucial Blast...what a sweet name.

I saw them before I ever heard of them and I wasn't really impressed. Then I heard the CD and I wasn't really impressed. Drum Machines don't do it for me without really catchy songwriting.

Glad nobody paid attention when I had them on a show last year with Behold...The Arctopus and Time of Orchids. Genghis Tron rules, and so does Adam and Crucial Blast Records.

Crucial Blast is pretty good as a label. I remember liking some of their other releases a lot...They escape me at the moment, but I reviewed what they were when Alex first got the Genghis Tron CD

The new album has a lot less dance / electro. It's more of a guitar heavy album than the Cloak of Love EP, which is good to see since Hamilton is a solid guitarist. Cloak of Love, at times seemed to harshly juxtapose grind with electro, instead of cohesively blending the two, life the combination could seem force as a novelty. But Dead Mountain Mouth really shows off some mature compositions and a very sound handle over their hybrid genre. By the way, the album comes out 6/6/06

By the way, Joe - that was a great show you booked back over the summer with Tron, Arctopus and Orchids. Too bad I'm not 21 and I was kicked out after Tron played. Actually, half of Genghis Tron was kicked out of O'Briens right after their set for being under age. That was hilarious
