Its been almost 7 years since Testament has released an album and almost 5 since Slayer's last one.Talk about fucking lazy!!!!

Slayer should never release another album, I think they proved that already.

testament has put out 10 live and 20 best of CDs since then.
plus CANCER.

slayer's newest CDs have been hardcore-leaning trash.

What I meant is that Testament havnt recorded any "new" songs since the Gathering.First Strike Still Deadly was just rerecorded old songs from the Legacy album and their new live CD/DVD is just old stuff.

yea slayers stuff isnt the same or testament for that matter...but at least both bands are still fuckin heavy and didnt fag out like metallica and megadeth.

I like all the Testament albums. I thought The Gathering was awesome.

Slayer's last good record was Divine Intervention. If a new one sounds like that, I'd be happy.

I agree that there are some "meh" songs on alot of the 90s Testament albums, but Testament never sounds bad to me. I can always enjoy listening even if I don't think it's amazing.

Demonic is the only good one in my opinion.

Yeah, I like pretty much all their records, even The Ritual, it had a different sound and was more of a melodic, boxy crunch to the guitars but I loved the tunes.

slayer should just stop putting out albums. they should keep touring and only play old songs for my selfish needs.

i was never a huge testament fan. "the legacy" is great but i could never get into any of the other records like that one. always thought they were rather safe.

Defiance Beyond Recognition was really good. Vocal wise yeah it sounded like CHuck Billy was in the band but musically Defiance was far more advanced than Testament. Never liked Alex Scolnick style. Void Terra Ferma was also a good one but DO NOT bother with their debut CD Product of Society, horrible. Waste of time. The albums are free (for downloading) if you go to Defiance's website. I guess Roadrunner no longer owns the rights so they are giving the music away. cool.

Testament Practice what you Preach and LOW are my personal faves.

I liked Defiance but I always thought of them more as a Metallica And Justice rip off than Testament.

I like The Gathering alot. I don't know alot off of Low. I always get that one confused with Demonic which is terrible. Souls of Black and Pratice are also favorites of mine. First Strike still deadly is cool too.

Im hoping Testament record a new album soon with the original lineup.But as far as Slayer goes,I know their next one will suck just like their previous 3 have.I do however wanna see them tour this year.

they should both take a time machine back to 1991 and break up.

yeah... and justice for all i hear ya on that one! oh well, i liked them a lot. but i'm no longer interested in testament or slayer today.

i've heard rumors of Slayer recording new material with Lombardo back on drums, so i think that could yield something positive.
