Earache tried to make the new MA un-rippable
by dividing each song into tracks so that any normal ripping program left
gaps in between each track making it annoying to listen too. So the entire cd was 99 tracks.... Using Sound Forge I captured the
entire cd and cut it up into the full 14 tracks.
yes, using sound forge is analog.
because you are reading off an A line, not a D line.
you can pull straight 1's and 0's from the CD or convert it through a D/A (digital to analog converter) form your CD-ROM, then read it into a A/D (analog to digital converter) on your sound card.
which is exactly what you did.
oh, and sound forge sucks.
use cool edit pro.

cool...
I don't know much about audio programs. I knew about sound forge though, so I grabbed 6.0 over slsk and it worked. Why is cool edit better? not that I ever use these programs anyways...
