I loved the first album when it came out. I was 11.
However, I saw the WASP/Motorhead tour several years back. How WASP headlined over Motorhead I will never understand. I guess Lemmy is just so fucking cool that he didn't care. No ego at all on that guy. The place was packed to the gills for Motorhead and at least half the crowd left before WASP even went on. A shitload more people left during WASPs first few songs.
Holy shit were they gay. Blackie had his mic stand rigged up with motorcycle handlebars and a footstand and it was a flexable mic stand and he stood up on the footstand, grabbed the fake handlebars and swung around all over place, pretending to ride a motorcycle. It was the gayest thing I've ever seen at a metal show.
Maybe they would've been cool to see live in the mid-80s but they are wicked washed up now.

Also, Blackie was such a rock-star asshole that Lemmy couldn't deal with him anymore and quit the tour a week later. All the remaining shows got canceled because the promoters didn't want WASP without Motorhead.
I bet if it had been WASP that pulled out, the tour would've continued.

while they were at Axis that afternoon, someone had loaded both band's personal gear into the dressing room together, and Wasp's tour manager had all Motorhead's stuff removed and left it all in the hallway. That was the kind of relationship the two bands had on that tour. |

We got to play with these guys in '06, they had a good set, really tight backing vocals close to studio quality that made the songs sound very full. |

Bump for listening to Neon God 1&2 on repeat in my office all day through the desktop's internal speaker. Only vocals and guitar solos are audible, and it's still awesome. |
