I saw a band play there when I was 9 yrs old. It was like that scene in Rockstar, when Marky Mark's band played at his dad's work. They have a tiny stage built into a wall and it doesn't even face the rink.

I honestly believe that there could be direct and total upheavel of much of today's local are popular music if people that weren't so interconnected on notions of being part of any one "scene" simply just attended other shows.

or, similarly, bands that weren't part of the current popular "scene" simply worked hard to support their shows, releases, etc and got other people to be constructively involved.
