Tomorrow I'd doing a photo shoot outdoors in Worcester and was wondering if anyone could let me know of a cool location.

It's for a guitar ad and will feature a bunch of guitar players.

thanks!

Carina

what are you looking for?

A park?
Woods?
City scapes?
Old buildings?

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Apr 21,2005 9:23am
well it's for a guitar ad
basically, anything cool looking and not THAT far from the palladium
thanks again!

toggletoggle post by Josh_hates_you  at Apr 21,2005 9:38am
THAT far from the palladium includes a few old buildings, elm street park, the tunnel where they have the burn outs, green hill park, a bunch of mexicans, Higgins Armory museum and other crap. You could use the Palladium itself like the stairs on the side of the building by the upstairs entrance. 20 minutes south of worcester there is Purgatory Chasm. maybe you can call morgan constuction company and get pictures with huge machinery.

Sorry i cant be of much more help unless i know what you are looking for.

Purgatory Chasm is the shits!!!! I was there 2 weeks ago.

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Apr 21,2005 10:38am
Are the places you mentioned assesible? Like are we allwoed to just go?
All I am going to basically be doing is posing a bunch of guitarists (with their guitars) and wanted a cool looking background

Thanks!

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Apr 21,2005 10:49am
the background can simply be a neat looking wall, i don't think a bunch of trees would work. Buildings would be fine
thanks josh

The armory http://www.higgins.org charges admission but maybe you could arrange a photoshoot but that would probably take more than a day.
Elm park is like a ghetto mini boston common.
Green hill park is more wide open feilds and hills.
Some of the old buildings have fences some don't as long as they don't have no tresspassing sings feel free to explore.
There are some cemetaries around but that might be too cliche or retarded.
Morgan Construction is a business that i took a tour of for metal shop in high school they have huge machines bigger than my house which would look cool but you definatley can't just walk in.
Purgatory Chasm is a longer drive (about 20 minutes) it is a state park with huge rock formations http://www.gweep.net/~lizzie/purgatory/chasmpics.html
Steps of the courthouse.
There is traffic in the tunnel.

Worcester kind of sucks.

Graffiti Walls
Walls of the palladium.
parking garage?
that huge new medical complex has cool glass walls http://www.worcestermedcenter.com/photo.html

toggletoggle post by Josh_hates_you  at Apr 21,2005 11:00am
I could drive around worcester and snap some pics........but that sounds like work.

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Apr 21,2005 11:12am
Thanks Josh, your info is great!
Is Elm park very far from the Palladium?
The last question I have is regarding indoor places...in case it rains, is there any place you think of where we could snap pics inside?
I really appreciate your help!

toggletoggle post by Josh_hates_you  at Apr 21,2005 11:22am
Elm park is less than a 5 minute drive. go down main street like 1 or 2 streets past Club Marque and you will see elm street. its like 1 or 2 miles up elm street on the corner of park ave.

Most indoor places would be cool but im sure questions would arise when people see 5 dudes with guitars in hand. The armory would have the coolest scenery by far i dont know if you could use a lobby or whatnot. their is the worcester art museum too which is closer to the palladium on sailsbury street. But any public building in any city would have the same stipulations. Even wal-mart.

Do the photo shoot in a taco bell. where ever you choose if you want to avoid confrontation run in, snap pics, get out. or use some people skills and or cleavage to get your way.

thanks!
i think i'll have to settle for side or back of the palladium due to time retraints
i've got 7 to 9 bands members scheduled to appear and so time is gonna be an issue

toggletoggle post by Blue  at Apr 21,2005 6:21pm
the huge parking lot wall across the street from the palladium entrance seems like a decent spot for what you want.

toggletoggle post by CarrotsandSticks  at Apr 21,2005 8:09pm
do it inside my van...all of them together sitting in all the seats with their guitars, it would look sweeeeet and would be real close, nd then I could say...hey! it's my van.

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Apr 21,2005 8:40pm
i'm trying to figure out how to pose them actually
i want something sick

Wall St. off of Grafton St.(Rt. 122) has the best view of all of worcester.
it overlooks shrewsbury st and you get a good view of everything.

it's like not even 5 minutes away from the palladium
