I said early on that I'd like to do it. I haven't read every post in the huge threads about the comp, so I'm not sure what the deal is with art as of now. I did come up with a cover concept. It might be the gayest thing you've ever heard, or it might work for us... let me know.
I was thinking of personifying each main branch of metal that will be represented on the comp.
Power. Total maiden style.
Death. Not quite sure. An executioner?
Black. All vikinged up.
Doom. Real minimal death himself looking guy.
Thrash. A non-human character.
Gore. Serial killer looking guy.
[whatever else].
As far as a scenario for them, at first I thought maybe a Justice League type of thing, but I'm not really too into it after more thought. Any ideas are welcome.

wheres the hardcore? there are hc bands on the comp, so why not represent them on the cover?
oh yeah, cus 65% of kids going to the fest listen to hardcore, and we want to make sure that they dont listen to it. bah.
