ever since the Maryland Death Fest i have really been getting into grind. but i don't know of too many grind bands. the ones i have cds of are Nasum, Rotten Sound, Leng Tch'e, Regurgitate, Dataclast, and Circle of Dead Children. what are some other good grind bands?

I can see the point of the preaching thing but Agathocles arent really preaching, they're just socially conscious people.
Plus the fact that they have been around since 85 without selling out, and man they had the opportunity to, this makes them the best grind band ever.
When I discover them when I was 15, that was a relief, I was into deah metal at the time and was going at shows a lot, and had to deal with a lot of bullshit from guys so after a while I got sick of it, then I listen to Agathocles, saw them live and I can thank them cause without them I wouldn't have discover grindcore/crust.
They played on the same bill with Entombed and Napalm Death in Eindhoven (Holland) in 89...

Mincecore was started by Agathocles as someone said above. These guys actually had a list online of bands they hated, giving stupid reasons like... for the fact some bands aren't vegan, their songtitles degrade women, they sing about violence, blah blah blah, they're PC dickheads. The music they play is basically grind, mincecore is just what they dubbed themselves, but it's like hxc... more of a gay lifestyle than about the music.

Try Napalm's 1987's "Scum" or 1988's "From Enslavement to Obliteration". Now that's grind. It has a completly different line up then there is today and a different sound. It was way more brutal back then.
