Remembered I'm capable of cleaning the house and then turning militant hardline toward any crumbs and cat hair that appear on the floor. Organized spice cabinet. Washed hands 50,000 times after handling Amazon packages. Went into a grocery store wearing sunglasses, a bandana like I was either about to rob a train or attend a hardcore show in 2005, and with black nitrile gloves on because it's the only time you wont get the cops called for doing so, drank two pots of coffee every day and haven't drank alcohol in 18 days. Started Far Cry New Dawn. Is boring. Continuously irritate my family with Mike Pence imitations on advising "15 days to slow the spread". Other than the working odd times throughout the day remotely, it hasnt been terrible so long as I can stay "busy"

Nothing has changed. Still going into the office and working like nothing is going on.

The only thing I'll say is I'm grateful to still have a job and I feel terrible for those who have been laid off or have lost work hours.

WFH every other day, I started my garden seeds and berry brambles, getting the backyard ready for grass. Set up a Gopro on the bird feeders. Nothing too intensive, my job is really crazy rn (health department). Sean is cooking a lot, playing Doom and started a new podcast - https://soundcloud.com/spookyseant

multiple times a day here there are tone-out's of ambulances for people with the same thing- high fevers, difficulty breathing, and cough all at the same time. 20's, 30's, 50's, all ages above teen. a couple times everyone in the residence(s) needed transport. it really is everywhere seemingly.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/maine-coronavirus-armed-vigilantes-chop-down-tree-block-driveway-force-neighbor-quarantine

'A group of armed vigilantes cut down a tree and dragged it across a man’s driveway in Maine to force him to quarantine in his home amid fears he could be infected with the coronavirus, officials said.

A man residing on Cripple Creek Road in Vinalhaven, an island off the coast of Maine, called authorities around 3:35 p.m. Friday to report a group of people with guns had cut down a large tree and dragged it in front of his driveway, blocking access to the main road.

The man said he left his house to check his property when he noticed the cable went out. The unidentified man said he retreated to his home and hailed the Coast Guard for help using a VHF radio after a neighbor began yelling at him to get indoors and remain quarantined.'

The armed group had dispersed before authorities arrived. Deputies with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Maine Marine Patrol and a Coast Guard boarding party, responded to the scene. The incident remains under investigation.

“Deputies have learned that there is a general belief by some island residents that the Cripple Creek Residents are supposed to be quarantined because they came here from another state and could have COVID-19,” the Knox County Sheriff’s Office in Maine said in a Facebook post.

“Whether someone is a Maine resident or not, they have the right to free movement and anyone who infringes upon that free movement is potentially violating the law,” the post said.

The man and his two roommates have been living in Vinalhaven for about 30 days since coming from out-of-state, authorities said. Several towns in Maine have asked seasonal residents and outside visitors to self-quarantine to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Portland Press Herald reported.

“If you are concerned about someone potentially being infected or not following the emergency rules or recommendations, please contact us,” the sheriff’s office continued in its post. “We want everyone to be informed about COVID-19 and the rules around it. We also want everyone to be safe and not overreact in this time of uncertainty as it could end poorly.”

lol nice

This is great "working from home on a rainy day" music. Thank you for the recommendation!

the more we learn and don't learn about this whole situation, the more concerning it gets for me. i've had to go into work every day to deal with my server systems despite the entire building which houses hundreds of tenants being locked down by the board of health to everyone except essential workers and people who actually live there. so far i've been the only essential worker i've seen and may be the only one. the kenopsia is really weird walking in the hallway. and it's also really weird to be frightened of door knobs and shit like that. also weird to wear gloves and spray down every package i receive in the mail and even weirder that i read the label on disinfectants to learn the "minimum contact time". hope everyone here fares well.
