boss dr-5 best one around!

the boss dr-5 is awesome for versatility and other instrument sounds. it has a 4 track sequencer too. if you just want drum sounds, i recommend the boss dr-660.

Drumkit from Hell. It's not a drum machine really, more a sample collection, but coupled with a good sequencer software it's some pretty powerful shit.

http://www.btinternet.com/~mikawbarish/Tesseract/ - check out that link and download a few audio clips. This kid uses DFH and gets some amazing sounds.

what about the alesis sr-16??????

i dig the sr-16. i had no idea how to use a drum machine and in 20 minutes without the manual i was using it with ease just form playing around. for like 100 bucks its a good deal (i think its the sr16 im thinking of. its all black with large buttons...)

ehh perhaps. i used it for a noise type project.
theres a blue clear drum machine and i dont know the name but a friend used it for a demo and they played like thrashy black metal and it sounded fucking awesome. i dont know the name but its very small and digital, clear blue. maybe someone on here knows... i would recommend it

Yamaha RM1X is a great Sequencer. It has a ton of awesome sounding drums but also has 1000's of other sounds in it too. It's user friendly also.
