Florida-based death metal veterans MORBID ANGEL will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their best-selling album, "Covenant", by embarking on the "Covenant: 1993-2013" tour.
In 1992, MORBID ANGEL was the first death metal band to be signed to a major record company (Giant Records/Warner Brothers) and "Covenant" was the group's first release for that label in the USA. The LP was released on June 22, 1993 and went on to garner great critical and commercial success.
On the "Covenant: 1993-2013" tour, MORBID ANGEL will play the "Covenant" album in its entirety and, after a short intermission, some additional surprise classic cuts. Further, there will be special commemorative items produced exclusively for this tour.

I'm torn. On one hand, Covenant is my favorite MA album. On the other hand, Vincent's voice is completely shot and Yeung is decidedly inferior to Pete in pretty much every way. Also, I will never fucking forgive them for Illud, so that's another strike against them. |

Morbid Angel? AT THE MIDDLE EAST?
Holy shit, that's going to be killer. I thought MA were great at the palladium, but a classic album in entirety at a intimate venue with good sound quality? That sounds excellent.
I imagine if it sells out in advance they'll add a second MA Cambridge date, since they aren't playing anywhere on the 11th. |
I have a total boner right now. |
Who in their right mind likes Covenant better than Altars??? |
Johnathan did so well learning his alphabet, gold star! |
bittersweet because the band blows now and vincent is painful to watch. it's a maybe. |

...I think I saw somewhere that Sandoval's going to be back for this tour. |

A born-again Christian on drums. Will they be a three piece? |

when exactly did they "blow" live? I've seen them three times since David Vincent came back and all three shows where great. |
by that i mean no sandoval and vincent is some sort of weird old latex man. i've seen them twice and yes they were good but i haven't seen them since their latest album. |
I only saw them once, but they were great. The only thing that sucked was because Vital Remains was added, Morbid's set was shortened by 30 minutes.
Speaking of OSDM, is anyone going to see Obituary in Connecticut on the 29th? |
nope, i'll be watching life go by on mount tourist island, ME |
Can Sonic Pulse get on this? |

this. Covenant is decent, but Altars is untouchable. |
they aren't touring on their 'best' album...theyre touring on Covenant because its the 20 year anniversary... |
