i might be picking one of these out this week, im gonna bring my universe by to test it out first. jUst wondering if anyone out there has any input on this model?

150 watts, with 2x12's.dudes looking for $375 and its in like new condition, comes with the pedal board, and is the xlr model.

what say you? yay or nay!!

Really depends what you're using it for.

As far as textures go, they're quite versatile, but aren't particularly amazing at any one thing.

They have some fairly delicate electronics inside, so be gentle with them. That, and the Line6 footswitches have some bum solders (at least mine did), so they may need re-soldering from time to time.

I use a small flextone for practice at home. Works just fine in that capacity.

For a forum full of musicians, you guys are as useless as a pisshole in the snow!!! come on blue, im sure you played one of these twats before..

its cool, but for 375 i dont know about that. if you're looking for all that stuff in a practice amp, just get a smaller 1x10/1x12 modeling combo and a head/cab for actual band practices?

I believe that rig is what we would call "a giant pile of crap".

And I actually like line6

Yeah that seems like a weird in-between amp. Not going to work for loud metal (unless you're only playing solos or doing like, ugly lo-fi black metal or something?), but bigger than you need for just recording or playing in your bedroom.

Offer him $250 and settle for $275, then you would be getting an OK deal.

well im going to check out that flextone iii tomorrow, and possibly a vetta ii. either way im taking home one of em, anybody played both and think one is significantly better than the other?

You have a Universe, but you're trying out shitty, outdated line 6 amps?

I'm confused as to your budgeting issues.

If FORCED to choose between them, the Vetta is a far better amp.

Fuck the line 6 dude, just get something with tubes.

Save your money and buy a real amp, and be sure to pick up a bottle of JD for your old man (me) for this pearl of wisdom.

Pretty sure DADROSS is actually Carlo Rossi aka Ross

Pretty sure dad Ross is Ross in dad form, idiot.

well...i went out and tried a few different amps. I ended up going with a tube combo, spider valve mkII..sounds incredible.

Real Ross doesn't drink Jack Daniels. Shit is garbage. Get with it or SHUTUP FAGGET

Dad Ross drinks Jack Daniels because his mature intellect appreciates the superior quality oh JD over EW.
