I LOL'd at Six Feet Under - Warpath. I can't stand that band and I even know Haunted is better.

I think a bunch of those we're distributed by Metal Blade but not signed to the label.

But Hallow's Eve was Metal Blade, or were they Noise and distributed by Metal Blade like VoiVod was?

Is this Wren's list?

Voivod was signed by Slagel, and the label paid a whopping $500 for them to record War and Pain. Noise came after.

I second the list above.

All of King Diamonds best albums are on Roadrunner. Out of his Metal Blade releases The Puppet Master is the best one. Give me your soul ....please is better than alot of the albums on this list though.

Why do people like Fates' "Awaken The Guardian" better than "The Spectre Within"?

That list says a lot about Slagel/Metal Blade... 3rd rate label; got lucky a couple of times but so much crap came out of there in the 80's. Somebody do a Combat list!

Yeah, it's basically just those two and Abigail II that were on Metal Blade...I thought at first House of God was (And I would definitely rate that above the Puppet Master), but then I remembered it was still on Massacre, although I think Metal Blade reissued it or something.

The graveyard was very underated, as was Voodoo I loved them both. Actually, I love all of his releases. Abigail 2 was amazing, and yeah I'll agree Puppet Master was so great. I hates GYSP though, very rehash. House Of God was a pretty good record as well. I dont know, he has been on metal blade for a good what 15 years? It's half his career! Time was a fabulous MF record and In The Shadows was an instant classic too.

toggletoggle post by dyingmuse   at Feb 20,2012 9:28am
BTW, don't get me wrong here. His best stuff was indeed on RR, Best KD record imho was THEM followed by Conspiracy and Abigail.

toggletoggle post by dyingmuse   at Feb 20,2012 9:29am
BTW, I think KD did way better with his later albums than Slayer, so saying his best stuff is behind him versus Slayer isn't really a point worth discussing.

#13) SIX FEET UNDER – Warpath (1997)

bennyhillifier

From first track to last maybe one of the biggest pieces of unlistenable shit I've ever heard.

And it out-ranks Haunted?? gtfo.

toggletoggle post by KEVORD  at Feb 20,2012 11:05am
One track is just Chris Barnes saying WAR IS COMING for 3 minutes.

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Feb 20,2012 11:08am
Yeah repeating the same shit over and over turned into a Chris Barnes staple the minute they started writing for Warpath

Nope, all original MB LPs... I was not aware they did any of VOIVOD's Noise LPs for the U.S. though. My Rrroooaaarrr is a Combat license.

Throwing in license deals, I'd also add SATAN, DIAMOND HEAD, HELLHAMMER, CELTIC FROST, DESTRUCTION, and SODOM!
