Lé fantastique

toggletoggle post by Spaldino at Jan 5,2012 12:54am
it actually really is. a great listen... even after a couple times in a row.

toggletoggle post by MikeOv at Jan 5,2012 1:23am
A rewarding listen. Alcest remains consistent in their (his) output.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jan 5,2012 1:36am
Like it. Top 5 Heaviest Sludge Metal of all time.

toggletoggle post by arktouros at Jan 5,2012 9:40am
it's good, it's hard to beat the one-two punch of ecalles de lune 1 and 2, but i'm sure it'll grow on me.

toggletoggle post by Alx_Casket  at Jan 5,2012 9:41am
Good stuff, Type O Negative was a better sludge band though.

Yeah, it's less intense but some great moments. Track 6 is the crowning jewel IMO.

Le Secret original EP pressing or GTFO

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jan 5,2012 10:41am
only listened once, but it was a good listen

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jan 5,2012 10:41am
Alcest slowly and deeply went downhill the second Neiger plucked a string for the first time.

toggletoggle post by burnsy at Jan 5,2012 10:45am
Will check this out tonight. I thought souvenir d'un autre mond and le secret were better than ecailles but still a big fan of his work. Nothing he did touches amesoeurs for me though.

yes

I'm afraid the new Lantlos may be more profound than this.

toggletoggle post by burnsy at Jan 5,2012 11:03am
Yeah, decrepit mark told me the new lantlos is unreal.

toggletoggle post by Swinesack nil at Jan 5,2012 11:16am
Ha, I would heed his decrepit advice.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jan 5,2012 11:18am
I was slightly disappointed with Lantlos' last album.

toggletoggle post by bitch_please at Jan 5,2012 11:21am
Good solid shit, maybe not quite as ethereal and diverse in sound as Écailles de Lune. As far as Lantlôs is concerned, not such a huge fan of Agape as I was the s/t and Neon. To each his own.

not heavy enough or technical enough. I like this because he has no tattoes.

toggletoggle post by timma at Jan 5,2012 11:44am
Can't wait to check this out when I get home. I thoroughly enjoy both albums prior to this on the regular.

If you've never heard the le secret EP, I suggest you check that out as well.

Aril <3's the re-recording of Le Secret

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jan 5,2012 12:29pm
I liked it, but prefer the original.

toggletoggle post by burnsy at Jan 5,2012 12:36pm
Rerecording what? Interested.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Jan 5,2012 1:21pm
The rehearsal tape was best

This album is chill

Finally got around to listening to this. It was quite the enjoyable listen. I like it more than I liked écailles de lune.

toggletoggle post by Eli_Hhcb at Nov 17,2012 5:13pm
It spoke to me.. Maybe spoke to the painkillers in me. Either way, was Nice. Not GF approved surprisingly, "too queer".
