What do you think? Is it good?

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Sep 13,2011 12:10pm
are you talking about the cd or live? have not witnessed either as of yet..

toggletoggle post by Mark_R at Sep 13,2011 12:22pm edited Sep 13,2011 12:23pm
The new CD...I actually kind of liked the new rock-and-roll song, but I've only heard samples of the other tracks. Certainly not thrash, but I feel like the song structures could be engaging listening, if not circle-pit-inducing.

Needs more Jonny Z

hrmmm i'll have to check it out. i like some good ole rock n roll... they got like Alice Cooper vibe or something going on?

Not liking it. I know I shouldn't expect Spreading the Disease 2011 but man this isn't even close. Better than John Bush I suppose

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Sep 13,2011 12:57pm
i think i'm one of John Bush's only fans. at least on this site

Fan of John Bush when he was in armored Saint and not a bad singer at all. I think he was a good fit for anthrax for only one album I heard, but maybe not the best fit for anthrax in the long run after Joey!

The first Anthrax album I heard was Sound Of White Noise, still a fav of mine to this day!

Won't get to listen to it until after work tonight. Heard Fight 'Em, Devil You Know, and Earth on Hell...like them all, but I'm not crazy about them. I'll still pick this up though.

I'm a fan of John Bush, but not so much John Bush-era Anthrax. (With the exception of Sound of White Noise, the following albums I really only liked a handful of songs from each. But I don't think that's really Bush's fault.)

I always loved Anthrax but hated Joey B. Liked the John Bush era, but not his vocals on old songs, sounds just as bad as Bella doing Bush era....ugh,the irony

the 'Bush Era' Anthrax albums are the best
(although Joey Ballerina finally sounds like he's singing the same song as the band is playing on the new one)

Armored Saint's 'Delirious Nomad' and 'Rasing Fear' are AWESOME

and his last name is cool

I don't know that I care enough to listen but curiosity may get me eventually.

Scott Ian Rosenfeld sucks.

I've listened to the new album a couple times and i haven't decided how I feel about it yet. It definitely sounds good and Joey is certainly on the same page as everyone else. It has thrashy moments but overall it seems to be a midpaced type of album. I bet it is going to sound good live, but I don't know if it is an album that I'd go back to again and again. we'll see.

Joey is classic Anthrax. As far as John bush goes, I always liked him from the Armored Saint days. I am like the only person who enjoys "The Greater of Two Evils"

It certainly has its moments...In the End gets downright fucking epic about halfway through.

Odd to have the cover of New Noise as a "hidden" track, though.
