Except you mentioned on your radio show last week that you knew about a local Judas Priest show and it didn't take a genius to figure out the details.

Because the original drummer still plays in the band? I don't know. Scott Gorham still plays in the band - he was on a bulk of their better-known releases. Priest, on the other hand, has zero original members.

Because everyone else complains about the lack of Lynott. Which nothing can be done about. The non-Gorham guitarist they have is the guy from Brother Cane...yeah, because that makes sense.

Pretty much. And I'm probably the only person who would actually welcome that (Well, short of Spitz. Geezer, dammit.)

BLS is clearly the worst band on earth. Sorry Limp Bizkit and Crazy Town but this set is terrible.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 20,2011 7:31pm
All of the status updates on fb are about how bad they are.

toggletoggle post by Bloblovesmusic at Nov 20,2011 7:47pm
I'm enjoying it, but the high end is kinda overpowering. And zakk's vocals sound kinda like those shred videos. Other than that I'm banging my head.

Inb4 haters

His solo could be played by a five year old. He's just hitting random notes.

how were halfords vocals from the back? in the front of the stage, there were almost no vocals. Halford's got a monitor in his ear which probably where his vocals come from.

toggletoggle post by KEVORD  at Nov 20,2011 10:47pm
Vocals are really loud and the guitars were really low in the begining but improved. Sounds real muddy though.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 20,2011 11:05pm
I'm working on the pictures... but it will take me a little longer cause I'm doing something I've NEVER done before. I shot a bunch of RAW shots and I'm converting them.

Priest sounded like ass, but the killed it. No Ripper though. Been waiting in the parking garage for the past half hour, I'm expecting to wait for a lot longer.

JustinVaettir definitely hooked it up with an awesome seat for this. Probably the 15th row on the floor, I thought the sound was awesome. Mix was bad at the beginning but drastically improved over time. Satisfied with the setlist (which wasn't much different than any of their other recent tours). Painkiller was BITCHIN and even Nostradamus was heavy as shit too. My throat will be wrecked for the week

I missed the opener and Lizzy, and I definitely regretted going into the arena early... Black Label is just terrible. Oh and Blue park at the lot across from Brewery next time, free 99% of the time and no waiting

toggletoggle post by vaettir  at Nov 21,2011 12:55am
I've missed out on the majority of Thin Lizzy's catalog, but will go back now and complete. Impressed with what I heard. Priest were what I expected completely, hopefully that's not the end, but when you're over 60 I suppose there's only so much rocking you can do. Would have liked to here Exciter and The Ripper...oh well.

Its all good, after I typed that I pretty much go out of the garage quickly. And for free.

The dude who was doing KKs stuff was ultra Randy Rhoads esque, wide leg stance, Ivory Les Paul Custom & all.

The best part of the night was not ever going to my nosebleed seats and sneaking all the way up to the floor, I managed to get about 30 feet from the stage.
