2 days ago our drummer had a horrific accident, and broke his pelvis, right hand, and both ankles. i love the kid like a brother, and will watch over and take care of him, but there is absolutely no way he'll be able to play drums for a very long time...the doctors said that itll be at least 2 months before he can even sit or stand up. so unfortunately, we have to look for a new drummer. and unfortunately, since we have no recordings,
itll kind of be like starting from scratch.

but we do have both intro and outtros written on guitar, as well as a classical piece/spoken word, and 5 songs. we're still looking to put out an EP as soon as we find a replacement and get things rolling again.

requirements: please no drug addicts or alcoholics. but we don't really care if you smoke or drink, in moderation. must have a job to help pay for the rent (we practice in providence, $275/mo = $90 per person) and transportation is a plus, but if not im sure one of us could come get you. as for equipment, we have a brand new kit at the space, just bring your own cymbals and double bass pedal. as formusical requirements, must love death/grind/thrash metal, and must be able to perform double bass competently....you dont have to sound like 1000 machine guns going off at once, but please keep in mind that this is death metal, after all.

as for Ymer itself, its grindy, frantic death metal with lots of new-school slams...influences include devourment, saprogenic, beheaded, creation is crucifixion, pig destroyer, suffocation, torsofuck, anal bleeding, ion dissonance, vomit remnants, fuck the facts, blood red throne.

the lyrics are also not the typical metal fare, if you're wondering what i mean i will email some to you.
