Subjugate the buttdarts, Blue. Give 'em heck!

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 19,2011 5:58pm
Dessication added bassdrops? I don't like that but still they are one of the really good and really young.

Will and his kataklysm tattoo are setting up now.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 19,2011 6:28pm
Dysentery sounded awesome. So heavy, but you could hear will when he talked. Plus, they played in front of a absolutely packe downstairs and a pretty full upstairs. Definitey the largest crowd I have ever seen them play in front of. Fyi, there were about 1.5k watching them.

toggletoggle post by aaron_michael  at Feb 19,2011 6:52pm
Go Willy!

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 19,2011 6:55pm
way to miss dysentery guys. Wren and seanpierre missed it.

I declare war singer was wearing one of scottlee's clothing company shirts fyi.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 19,2011 7:01pm
Btw, they are running 20 minutes ahead of time. Whitechapel was going on at 10:05 and tas at 9, but it migtbe 10-20 minutes earlier.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 19,2011 7:13pm
Yeah! iPad wifi here

toggletoggle post by boblovesmusic   at Feb 19,2011 7:34pm
Yeah, we suck! Fuck came all this way to see dysentery only to miss them. Oh well.

I like I Declare War. Hardly original but the riffs were enjoyable.

Chelsea Grin is one constant breakdown.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 19,2011 7:42pm
One of the dysentery riffs is 100% a slayer riff. Going to have t find it.

doubt it. blue's academic integrity is spot on. kudos to the band. lotta young folk done got xposed to solidness. black metal rules. driffffffft...

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 19,2011 8:20pm
Chelsea gin was spot on with domaines forethought of 'suicide silence'. Lot of girl crowd surfers too.

toggletoggle post by boblovesmusic   at Feb 19,2011 8:32pm
There's a dude here with corpse paint

toggletoggle post by boblovesmusic   at Feb 19,2011 8:37pm
Veil was awesome!

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 19,2011 9:17pm
Veil of maya was pretty good. Te have some meedley meedley parts that sound like videogames.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 19,2011 9:38pm
There is always a dude with corpsepaint.

The acacia strain is much bigger imho than whitechapel. I think a bunch of people turned and left right after tas ended. The set was a little less interactive than usual, but it was cause vincent was sick. The best thing about the whole set was swiss on stage for the last minute of the last song playing guitar. And here I thought he only played bass.

I saw enough theatrics in the Palladium parking lot this afternoon. I can only imagine what duck duck goosers are in there right now.

oh i know exactly what you are talking about. the riff in question has a tag that is similar to several slayer riffs but is not a 100% lift. good ear.

awesome night, great crowd, no duck duck goosing. honestly, i don't think things could've gone any better. ...maybe if wren caught our set.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 20,2011 1:15am
yeah, completely great show. so glad that you guys played on a big stage AND got a super good reaction from the crowd. It seemed like the kids there has an open mind... now let's weed them off victory deathcore and onto amputated vein and pornogrind.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 20,2011 1:15am
when did justin beiber start singing for whitechapel?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 20,2011 1:17am
I also though I saw antoine dodson in the audience.

toggletoggle post by blue  at Feb 20,2011 1:35am

toggletoggle post by BrianDBB  at Feb 20,2011 9:52am
If anyone found my liver after Dystentery let me know. I was puking my guts out most of the night, but I got in free and saw what I needed. Good show with a surprisingly good turnout of solid people (at the bar atleast)

toggletoggle post by bornofosichris  at Feb 20,2011 10:22am
awesome show but worst crowd ever. 50% mallrat scene kids and 50% tapout loving white-trash nu-metal leftovers. fucking awful. pit = turdfest.

missed i declare war, who i really like, but i've seen them before so i'm sure they were just as good.

chelsea grin were ok for what they are, not the most original thing out there but it was fine to sit through.

veil sounded super tight, i've seen them before where their sound was pretty muddy but they sounded clean last night, definitely the best i've seen them live.

acacia was awesome despite vincent's being sick, and whitechapel killed. but man, fuck that crowd. awful. i'm 21 and i think i was the "old guy" last night.

This tour should have been called Welcome To High School..sheesh a bunch of 15-18 year old gagged bums, only reason why I had went was to see Dysentery. Like I said..that was the TIGHTEST set I have seein by them.sound was amazing,it was heavy as FUCK and people responded great to it. I hope they now get the recognition they need! absolutley destroyed shit.they should have bumped up higher in the list and dysentery should have headlined!!! I declare war sounded AWFUL. not what I expected at ALL. i thought the new vocalist sucked balls,i have been following the band for a few years now and they sound a lot more tight on cd than they did live,i was very very let down. Chelsea grin was cool, last time i saw them was in PA with monsters and within the ruins, pretty cool seeing them in a large group and getting a nice response, veil of maya..any more bass drops and my body would have exploded!! what a shitfest..i dont get why kids go crazy for them..my farts make better music than them...Acacia Strain..only cool thing about their set was the ghostbusters 2 backdrop ,seein way to many time to even give a shit about them, and than I left 2 songs into WhiteChapel, they blow monkey cack..i did see the little boy who came in the corpse painted..over heard people saying they were targerting him in the pit!! Not the best show ive been to,but it was fun..again main reasson for going was for dysentery and they ripped my balls out and shoved them back in!

toggletoggle post by Pires at Feb 20,2011 11:13am
This was the Wocester date of the Welcome to hell tour (see what I did there?). Awesomely, 2 of the local band that opened were awesome. Also, the attendance was more than proper. Young kids know what is up and most of the crowd showed up for the first band. That means that Dysentery and Desiccation play for over a thousand people (more like 1.5K).

so put on your dancing shoots, let your pants sag low and click on the pictures. I highly recommend looking through the crowd shots. Lots of LULZ faces.

--------------------------------------------------------------

almost made it through an entire show recap without a typo. ALMOST.

LOL @ that kid who called Dysentery black metal.

It was definitely awesome seeing them up on that stage though. They fucking killed it, and I'm so happy that crowd of 1500 with most of them not even old enough to watch a porno was totally into it.

For a bunch of young kids, Dessication has a lot of talent and I'm looking forward to seeing where those kids go. I'm not a fan of I Declare War, and Chelsea Grin is just terrible. Veil of Maya is always fun to watch, and Swis playing Car Bomb was fucking awesome. Left after the first WhiteChapel song, Drive By Brian was in pretty damn rough shape. Overall, a fucking solid night.
