The new TIGHT METAL pedal debuted at NAMM. Created by Amptweaker founder James Brown specifically for the guitarist of Misery Index so they could have their guitar sound in a pedal for when they fly to gigs. They liked it so much they will be using it full time and on future albums.
For those who don't know the name, James Brown was the guy who designed amps for Peavey like the Classic, VTM, Triple XXX, TransTube, Delta Blues, JSX, 5150, etc... And he is currently the lead engineer for Kustom Amps.
ANyhoo, lots of gain, built in loop, built in gate, etc... it looks like an amazing pedal. Guitar rig in a stompbox, it seems. If I had ANY money I'd be preordering one already.
Been hearing about these for a little bit. Very interested in it, considering it sounds like it should replicate the sound of the Ampeg VH series heads (pretty much my fav SS head).

where do the lines between slam death metal and deathcore blur?
right at Misery Index... right at Misery Index...
Pretty cool but I only care if I can take a look at the schematic. Really not too hard to make a good sounding distortion pedal. The main attractions here are the loop and the noise gate.
