Up at 6:30, plowed the driveway (for the 1st time today), drove wife to work, eating breakfast, then home for more plow + snowblow action. Technically, I'm WFH, but I don't think there's a lot going on this week.

somehow managed to haul my ass into work. hour and a half drive thru shitty traffic and pooly cleared roads. thought i was late only to find out we are not opening for another hour and a half. free breakfast though. woo.

Ended up getting to work 2 hours late even though I woke up an hour and a half early. Everything at work has been completely fucked up. I don't understand why there are so many trains running today; hardly anyone has had to get to work on them. Fuckers.

Worcester got hammered, we got like 14 inches or so. i haven't heard wind like that in a long time, it was pretty scary at some points. i could hear my roof cracking and popping.

I'm in Malden. Plows pushed a good 3 feet of snow all around my car. At first I thought I could brush off my windows, chuck it in 4 wheel drive, hit the gas, and just make the snow my bitch. But when I couldn't open my car doors to get inside I knew it was time to take the walk of shame back to the house to get a shovel.

One more reason I don't miss living in Malden.

I live in Medford, they plow pretty well here. The biggest bonus is that I don't have to pay to throw out my trash anymore. What a crock of shit that was!

I was mainly just commenting on lack of street parking during snow emergencies. Malden is like "you can't park on THESE streets". Medford was like "You can't park on... streets."

I guess that's news to me since I have my own private spot. And yeah, I brought all my trash into Everett to drop off. I mean, that's where it belongs amirite?

allstons city lot is free for 48 hours after a parking ban is declared...just got my car out this morning.

Yeah I read on Malden's web site that if you're fucked for street parking there are a couple of lots you can park in. But they're tiny and far away. Catching a cab to and from my car at night and then again before work seems a tid bit retarded to me.
