it's getting good reviews, and I didn't know Anthony Hopkins played Odin, I'm actually pumped about it. May even take my gf out tonight, I haven't been to the theater in years.

i read that the best parts are the Asgard scenes.

I think the last movie I saw in the theater was Beowulf, so it's fitting.

Frost Giants, Destroyer, and Natalie Portman... A+

Saw it in 3D. The fact that it was in 3D was the best part. Otherwise this movie pretty much sucked.

I never read the Thor comics, but was there a goofy band of best friend warrior super friends that followed him around. There's a fat guy, a girl, a Japanese (wtf?) guy, and this dude that looks like Carey Elwes in the Princess Bride that make up the comic relief portion of the film. It's really stupid.

Natalie Portman phones it in bigtime. She could have been shooting a Tampax commercial, and just used leftover footage for this.

There's also a lot of goofy Encino Man-esque moments where you're supposed to laugh because Thor doesn't know how to do normal Earth stuff like eat french toast.

The frost titans, and all of the Asgard stuff is cool and there's a lot of impressive imagery. All in all this movie is a typical comic book movie flop.

just saw this last night, it was ok. not nearly as much action as i was hoping for and a lot of bullshit story lines that had nothing to do with the fact that Thor is a straight up ass kicker and should have been portrayed as such.

i believe if SupremeBrutality.net were to review this movie they would have said:

NEEDS MORE EXCITEMENT
