Same here. |

Question is, had he not been killed, would metallica have sounded the same? |

no, metallica would be as good today if not better. i think it should have been lars that died replaced by either Dave or Paul from Slayer. this would have resulted in ultra mega badassitude. |
It should definitely have been Lars. |
Gotta get out my bellbottoms of mourning. Anybody who's suffered through my half-baked noodlings on the "big guitar", this dude was why.
Also, the answer is "Cliff quits Metallica after another album or so and James gets even more butthurt than Dave did". |
cliff + steve harris + alex webster = the reason i play bass. |
So I was trying to think of my ideal fantasy band and I have Cliff on bass, Randy Rhoads on guitar and Danzig on vocals. Can't think of a drummer though. |
Cliff is God (not that I believe in one, but if I did, bass solo take 1...) |
Twenty-four years ago, and he was twenty-four when he died (as was Randy). My two favorite all-time pieces of music are the middle sections of To Live is To Die and Orion, both written by Cliff. |
