i highly doubt it would reach down here, but it has before, i just don't think the flare was strong enough. that would rule though.

there's a solar flare heading our way. I'm assuming this has to do with that.

Either way, only Agartha is real.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Aug 3,2010 1:21pm
yeah it's because of that. i also heard that yesterday 3 planes just lost power and dropped out of the sky, though they were all small cessna's and such.

Real-Time magnetometer data: http://www.irf.se//Observatory/?link[Magnetometers]=On-line_sp_access

The lines will start spiking when the flare reaches us.

also http://spaceweather.com/ has some cool info up about it

Just be thankful it wasn't an X1 or X2 flare. I remember reading it was an A or B-grade one... Nothing to worry about.

toggletoggle post by DreadKill  at Aug 3,2010 1:27pm
i would love to see the northern lights

toggletoggle post by AndrewBastard at Aug 3,2010 1:27pm
midnight or 1am...

It's a C class flare, but it's directed right at earth. X class flares are way more violent but usually just glance off us.

...anything could happen.

fingers crossed for global armageddon

It's a C? They must have upgraded it.
Nothings going to happen other than slight malfunction in satellites.

toggletoggle post by dertoxia   at Aug 3,2010 1:43pm

it'll be really low on the horizon and won't be very bright but all of northern US should be able to see some kind of aurora. Just get out of the city and get to a hill with a clear view to the north.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Aug 3,2010 2:24pm
do you think that it will be visable at all from in the city? I hope so.

toggletoggle post by brodown at Aug 3,2010 2:50pm
I might just make a trip to NH for this...

toggletoggle post by dertoxia   at Aug 3,2010 4:37pm
well looks like it's gonna be cloudy all day and night. So i guess no ones gonna see shit.

This better not fuck with my directv service. I hate nature and all it's stupid stuff.

toggletoggle post by dertoxia   at Aug 3,2010 7:24pm

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Aug 3,2010 7:41pm
No such thing as arora borelis.

toggletoggle post by Slag at Aug 3,2010 7:43pm

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Aug 3,2010 7:45pm

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Aug 3,2010 7:46pm

toggletoggle post by did somebody say.. at Aug 3,2010 7:56pm
Aurora? As in the anal queen Aurora Snow?

toggletoggle post by DreadKill  at Aug 4,2010 11:22am
did anyone see it?

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Aug 4,2010 11:23am
i played poker and forgut. :(

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Aug 4,2010 11:25am
I looked but only saw chemtrails and planes coming back to do more chemtrails.

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Aug 4,2010 11:37am
i've stopped paying attention to those because i have enough other reasons to be consistently in a bad mood.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Aug 4,2010 11:37am
You always see chemtrails, James.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Aug 4,2010 11:43am
I prefer contrails over chemtrails, actually.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Aug 4,2010 11:52am
And I fancy infant entrails. Hung upon the twisted cross.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Aug 4,2010 11:56am
Oh. I thought you liked Happy Trails. Crossed between a hung infant.

toggletoggle post by BobNOMAAMRooney nli at Aug 4,2010 12:02pm
Wait was this for real or was it localized entirely within Seymour Skinner's kitchen?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Aug 4,2010 12:05pm
I saw nothing

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Aug 4,2010 1:05pm
AURORA BOREALIS...
AT THIS TIME OF YEAR...
IN THIS PART OF THE COUNTRY...
LOCATED ENTIRELY WITHIN THE CONFINES OF YOUR KITCHEN...

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Aug 4,2010 1:08pm
can I see?

toggletoggle post by BobNOMAAMRooney nli at Aug 4,2010 1:15pm
No

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Aug 4,2010 1:23pm
In some Sicilian villages, Fair James. Obscure pleasures await.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Aug 4,2010 1:27pm
Pleasuring obscurities are nothing but a village of fairness.
