Everything that has to do with space has always baffled my mind. The true beauty of the universe (outside of women that is) lies in the stars. Hopefully someday we can take a trip up there. That 80s movie "Explorers" ftw.

yea, man.. I don't live in complete wilderness but I'm far enough from any city that the sky is illuminated with stars (depending on the weather). I remember using the telescope when Mars was real close to the earth.. got a decent view of it. You really have to know what you're doing to be good with a telescope. You've got to align the scope up top with what you want to look at, then use the correct lens to view it in. i think my scope is a little off, which in space terms is lightyears.
