Has anyone seen Nile as of late with their new awesome phenom drummer? I'd be surprised to hear if they aren't good with him.
are you talking about Gearge Kolias? He's Already been there drummer for 3 records now.... but i'm 99.999999999999999999999 sure he's still there drummer. He's one of the best around.

i saw Nile when they played at the Palladium last, it was killer. George Kollias is a monster on the kit, they sounded great. they are one of those bands that i don't expect to have flawless sound, there is just too much going on, but i had no complaints last time even at the Palladium. they are one of my favorites so it helps knowing the songs really well. and being drunk. i had my foot on the stage and kept kicking Karl Sanders' equipment. oops.

No complaints? I'd go farther and say that they had the best sound at the palladium i've ever heard. (only since "the Annihilation" tour.... or "after Kolias") I've been informed that they bring there own entire sound crew with them to every show.... i wanna do that.
i still listen to Those Whom the Gods Detest all the time. the other day my brother was talking about how he's been listening to Ithyphallic a lot, he was saying to give it another chance, i was bored with it the first time i heard it. it was too much like AOTW pt. 2.
I don't even give it that much credit. I feel like Ithyphalic is missing some of the aggression... Sure, obviously it's still fast as fuck, but the actual energy is less... almost like they started smoking TONS of weed before writing it. I find it boring. AOTW on the other hand, is NOT boring. Nor is it low energy.

Their entire sound crew consists of one guy, the dude on the last Morbid Angel cd saying "Pete can I hear your kick drum please."
sometimes i like to listen to the new pathology and then the new defeated sanity (for vocal performance comparison relative to the respective vocalists ex bands, disgorge).
all i can say is that aj magna beats the crap outta matti....and matti is excellent.
I've been on a Nile binge lately. I looked online and I've got rough idea of a possible setlist and I'm stoked
1. Kafir!
2. Sacrifice unto sebek
3. Hittite Dung Incantation
4. Serpent Headed Mask
5. Permitting The Noble Dead To Descend To The Underworld
6. Ithyphallic
7. Papyrus Containing the Spell to Preserve Its Possessor Against Attacks From He Who Is In The Water
8. Permitting the Noble Dead to Descend to the Underworld
9. Sarcophagus
10. Lashed To The Slave Stick
11. Black Seeds Of Vengeance
12. Execration Text
It'll be interesting to see how close this ends up to what they do.

Running a little behind. Probably won't make go-reality. I'm there for pathology though.

No sigils for me tonight. My friends are buttdarts and my car is a gas guzzler. Not worth $50 to drive 4 hours roundtrip solo without smokingdrugs, despite being on Aaron's mom's list.
Psycroptic just killed it. Thank the dickens, because keep of kalessin was so boring. Ex deo up next. Not sure what to expect. I've heard many different things from people. Chances are, I'll hate it.
Kinda glad I didn't go. All set with spending upwards of $50 on gas to see one and a half good bands and getting home at 4 in the morning. Fuuuuuuuuck that,
Keep of Kalessin was great, finally saw them after so many years. They could only play 4 songs and they didn't get to any off of Armada... I need to see them headline. Ex Deo is boring and the Roman Legion getup doesn't help their playing. Pathology and Psycroptic, meh...much better bands that do their thing. Nile was so fucking amazing as always..and they penetrated the Jersey shore market! But no Dallas? Where is the skulletman?
Ryan, there was someone at the show who looked like they were a Guido straight outta jersey shore. I don't know anything about that show but he looked like he was in it

If that's the same kid I'm thinking of, I heard talking outside on the phone asking his "connect" if he could score some more acid because the "hits were so clean". Him and his buddies hung out outside all night until fucking Nile guy.
